My almost finished kitchen

I know it’s been a while since we’ve talked about my kitchen. I kept debating whether or not to show you guys any in-between pictures, but I’ve had people ask me how my kitchen was coming along. So let me just show you.

We are not done, but we’re getting closer! Mitch just finished the butcherblock counter for the island and I love it. And since the last time I showed you guys, we got our backsplash tiled.

I got caught up in the picture taking experience and had to set up this little tea station. That’s raw honey there in the jar which I’m totally loving right now slathered on top of toast and butter. Yum to the o, people. Oh and my vintage tea towel–how cute is that, seriously?
Do you see our thermostat hanging down from the ceiling? Yeah, we’re ghetto like that.

What still needs to be done:

  • Crown molding on top of cabinets
  • Flooring
  • Trim around window
  • Roman blind made for window
  • Switch out corbels on island
  • Trim pieces here and there

I think that’s about all. The flooring of the kitchen will be the very last thing we do since we’re knocking down a wall and will have the same flooring throughout. So there ya go–where we’re at with the kitchen. I do love my new kitchen. It’s the same basic layout but there’s so much more storage space now since we extended the cabinets up to the ceiling and added a bigger pantry. You can bet once we have everything done, I’ll post more pics and have a cost breakdown for ya too. Hope you enjoyed the tour!
