Overwhelmed

Thought I'd show ya what my dining room table looks like right now.
 Not pretty, folks.

Ever get to the point where you have so much to do that you don't know where to start? Yeah, that's me today. That crap up there needs to get cleaned up, I have a million loads of laundry to do (and our dryer is broken), I HAVE to sort through/organize the boys' clothes, and of course this is all on top of my regular to-do list. Man. Yeah, I'm feelin' a little overwhelmed today. Anyone with me?? What's on your to-do list?

  1. Just take a breath kiddo :) Not everything needs to get done today. Going through the boys clothes can be done in smaller bits when you have a little extra time here or there. That is the method I use when I need to organize drawers and cupboards. This way the job gets done, I feel a sense of acomplishment, and the job doesn't overwhelm me. Good luck, and just breathe! :)

  3. My dining room table looks like that constantly. It is the dumping ground of everything people bring into the house and then don't bother to put away. Only difference is mine is husband, and 13-year-old son stuff and mail, and dishes from leftovers brought home from my mother's house that need to be taken back to her, and two boxes of outgrown clothes and books to take to a neighbor with a younger boy, and did I mention my husbands stuff? LOL! It gets a good cleaning off once a week and the rest of the week we shove the stuff to one side so we can sit down for dinner together...when I manage to get a real meal on the table. That to do list will always be there. Last time I went through my son's clothes I brought loads to the living room and sorted while watching TV. At least I was pretending to relax.

  4. Looks better than mine right now Kat except for I have 2 less children than you have - so one would think mine would be in better shape, right? ;)~ I get overwhelmed everyday Kat and I think it is because I make my TO DO list for the day too long, it's unattainable. I saw your list - you do the same thing. Knock a few things off of there so you can actully cross the whole thing off, you'll be surprised how much better you will feel. Rome wasn't built in a day sister. :) (((HUGS))) Amy C.
