It's Curtains for You

Down came the girly curtains that I've had up in the nursery for several weeks now. I was just "testing them out" just in case Finn turned out to be a girl. Had to make sure they were going to work, after all. And work they did. Makes me a little sad that I won't be needing them now, but I'm pumped to be moving on with Finn's nursery decorating.

Aren't they so pretty? I found them at a thrift store like a year ago. Read more here

So in their place, I put up some little striped guys that I again, found at a thrift store. Seriously, you guys, if you need linens, curtains, etc, check out your local thrift store. You can find some really nice, high quality stuff there for cheap. These red striped ones are from Country Curtains. Have you priced new curtains recently? They're ridiculously overpriced. I mean, ridiculous. Like over $100 a panel ridiculous. (And I've now maxxed out the word ridiculous for this post.) Anyway, back to the curtains. If these look familiar, yes, they were in Ryder and Bryce's room briefly until I decided to swap them out for Ry's old curtains in his old room. (follow all that?) Here, let me show ya. "New" old curtains that were in the boys' room that are now in Finn's room.

The only problem with these curtains are their length. Can we say high waters??

So I'm gonna have to do something about that. And here are the curtains that are currently in Ryder and Bryce's room. (They used to be here.) They're fuller than the red striped ones, so they work better for the boys' large window.

Remember--this is my vintage camp-themed room. Ya think these fit the bill? Are they camp-y enough? There will be a lot of stripes, plaids, and now buffalo check in this room. Can't wait to pull it all together.

That's where we're at with the curtain situation. For now, at least. Have you bought new curtains lately? Did you have to take out a small loan? Or maybe you're an avid thrifter like me and you found some sweet curtains for a fraction of the original price. Do tell!
