Weekend Thrifting Treasures

On Saturday, I went thrifting with two of my friends at several local thrift stores. Of course I found some cool things that I had to bring home with me. The lamp fetish continues.

I couldn't pass up this antique solid marble lamp. I mean really, look at that veining and those cut-details. I talked the sales lady down to $10. It'll probably end up in the master bedroom.

Now I just need to find the perfect shade...which is hard. Keep your fingers crossed, would ya?

I can't resist small furniture. This tiny table was calling out to me. Plus at $5, I really couldn't go wrong. I love layering things like this underneath larger tables.

Old school waffle iron. Can't wait to try it out. It has four slots inside--perfect for our family. Cost: $3.50

And this little red lantern. Perfect for Ry's room. I have it hanging on his peg board/shelf. Cute, isn't it? $2.

Did you find any treasures this weekend? Or maybe you're hoping to find something--a lamp, accessories, etc. What's on your must-have/hoping-to-find list?

  1. I am wanting a lamp similar to that one really bad, of course you would find one! I haven't been thrifting in a month. Major withdrawls!

  2. Aw man, that waffle iron. Now I feel sort of bad, I grew up with a waffle iron just like that. In fact, my father still uses it. It might be why all new fangled waffle makers make me want to cry, but it is the only kind I've ever known!

  12. I recognize the waffle maker- I had one just like (from my grandmother) it until my sister 'borrowed' it and then gave it away in one of her manic states. If you haven't figured out already, the waffle panels come out and flip so you can grill sandwiches with the other side or wash easily. Needless to say, I'm jealous. I loved that waffle iron.

    1. Sisters...what can I say? ;) Hope you can find another one like it! And I realized the other side was flat when Mitch washed it the other day and just realized when you mentioned about grilling sandwiches on there that that's what it's for. So thanks! I'll have to try it out.
