Boots

How do you feel about boots? Like cowboy boots?

Cute, right? That's what I thought too. So when I spotted a pair at GW the other day, I immediately starting thinking about all the scute outfits I could wear them with. When I saw them, I knew they were the real deal. Primarily because they were priced at $20, and NOTHING is that expensive at my GW unless it's the real deal, but I also spotted "Texas" printed on the sole. So these boots were definitely not made in China. (actually I think they're made in Brazil)

BUT I have this slight "issue" with some things. See, I feel like if you're not from a certain area of the country, you shouldn't pretend you are. For example, nowhere else can one replicate a Philly cheesesteak unless they're from Philly, so don't even try. (Subway, I'm talkin' to you.) Another example--several years ago I was getting Southern Living magazine. And while I did enjoy the mag, I had to cancel my subscription simply because I don't live in the South and out of a good conscience I just couldn't do it. So even though I had that voice in the back of my head telling me, You're not from Texas, Jersey girl, I still bought those cowboy boots. When I got home, I checked out the brand's website and verified that these boots really were legit and although I couldn't locate my exact pair on their website, these were very similar and are currently selling for $140.

I had visions of looking cute like Carrie here in my little boots, but seriously, come on now.

Instead I ended up looking more like this lady.

So what's the point of this post, you ask? I'm gettin' there...

I'm selling my boots. I thought I'd check with any of you guys to see if anyone wanted them, if not, I'll just return them to GW. You can have 'em for what I paid for 'em--$20 (plus shipping, if you're not local). Great deal. So whether you're a real Texan girl or just a straight up Southerner or shoot, even a sassy Philadelphian, I won't judge ya. Contact me at kathertzler(at)yahoo.com with your questions and if you want these here boots. (They're women's size 8)

  1. I'm from Alabama. Born and raised there for 23 years. But now I live in California and I just can't bring myself to wear a pair of boots either. It just wouldn't work here. You could always keep the boots and move!

  2. I live closely to you and really bad want a pair of cowboy boots! Too bad that they don't fit me! I told my mom to keep an eye out for a pair of boots for me! When she goes to the Goodwill she finds such cute stuff, but when I go I barely find anything!
