Missoni for Target

First of all, thanks for the nice comments on my bathroom. Makes me happy:) And to answer your questions, I'm fortunate enough to live near a Pottery Barn Outlet and that's where I purchased both the shower curtain and the picture frames. The frames are actually mirror. I love the sparkle they bring to the room.

I know I'm about a week or so late on this post, but just thought I'd share with ya's my lone Missoni for Target purchase. First of all, I need to preface this by saying that I had seen a couple commercials for the Missoni line at Target but really didn't think much about it. That is until pretty much every blogger commented on how ridic it was that morning of the 13th when the shelves were stocked at their Target store. For those who don't know about the insane craze, apparently it was like Black Friday when the Missoni line arrived at Target last week. It was a limited production, so once the goods were gone, they were gone for good. So when I went to Target last Sat. morning, I was shocked to see some Missoni stuff still there. Apparently my Target had just gotten in an extra shipment the night before that they weren't expecting. So I got really excited. And I tried on all of the following.

But ya know what? I totally wasn't diggin' the look. Maybe it's just me, but I just wasn't feelin' the 70s inspired design. When you have to ask yourself, "Is this super cute or super ugly?" you know you probably shouldn't drop $60 on it. It kinda reminded me of "The Emperor's New Clothes"--I didn't want to pretend I loved it when I really didn't. So it was a no-go for me. But as I was explaining all this to the girl who was working the dressing room, she said, "Well I DO have this bag that someone returned..." Now an accessory that's a little on the crazy side, I can do, so I snatched up that puppy. Fun, right? And shoot, who can't use another bag?

I did see a few other Missoni for Target things that day including two of these vases. I kept going back and forth on them, then eventually decided not to get them. I don't need 'em. I do like them though.

If you're dying to own something Missoni for Target you can check out Target's website--they do have a few things left on there. Or check out ebay, where people are making (or trying to make) some serious profit on their Missoni purchases. What do you think--are you a fan? Or not so much?

Oh and a random pic of Bryce. Happy weekend:)

  1. I really like the bag! So super cute!
I didn't even attempt target ... I think the Missoni accessories/home decor is sort of cute, but a little too retro for my style. And I'm 100% with you on the clothes. Although, I did see a chic walking down the street wearing a Missoni sweater the other day and she looked great. But, I don't think I could pull it off :)
