Who Has Time for Dusting, Seriously?

Apparently me. Yeah, that's right, Miss Suzy Homemaker here had some extra time on the ol' hands yesterday so I broke out the dust rag. Not only that, but I even dug out the Windex that was buried way back in our cleaning closet. Go me. (FYI, I'm allowed to toot my own horn here since this is a very rare occasion and I'm quite proud of myself) I dusted and Windexed (actually it was the Walmart brand, which btw, works just as well) my glassware. Check it out. Try to ignore the hideous AC unit circa 1985. One glorious day we'll have central air.

I love this handblown jar. Isn't she beautiful? I picked this up at my local thrift store. It's super fragile so I probably shouldn't have it out with two rowdy boys running around my house but I can't resist. It's so pretty.

And this little guy, believe it or not, used to be a dome on a light fixture. It was made crooked, plus had a little chip on the rim, so I replaced it and stuck the dome here. It looks right at home protecting our little feathered friend.

It's actually this PB light. Funny, huh? Nothing goes to waste in this house:)

Rustic Glass Pendant

This antique candelabra (that I still need to get a candle for) is awaiting his new home on my bathtub deck. He's chillin' here for now. (Don't you love that I personify every inanimate object in my home?) Okay--total side note: did you know the word candelabra is the plural form of the word candelabrum? So I guess my little guy is a candelabrum. Sorry for the mishap there. Gotta love Latin. And there's your fun fact for the day.

So there it is: my collection of current shiny glass things. I'm sure it won't be long before they're covered in dust again. But for now, I'm gonna enjoy the view.
