Progress

Little by little we're chippin' away over here. This weekend we were able to tape and put the first coat of mud on our bedroom walls. Even though it was about 1000 degrees in our "bedroom," we were workin' like champs. I even did some.

Here's my handiwork on display. Thankfully this is the closet wall so even if I screwed it up, you wouldn't be able to see it. Keep in mind this is my first EVER experience with muddin' (is that even what it's called? I feel like a hick saying that) so be easy on me.

While friends of ours and myself did the drywall stuff, Mitch insulated some of the other walls and fixed a leak in our pipes. The plumbing should be all ready to go! (my fingers are crossed.)

And here's our tub deck taking shape. The top is all tiled. I'm so pleased with how it came out. Next on the list is cladding the front of the deck with boards. We're having a light fixture made to hang above the tub. I hope it turns out the way I see it in my head. Can't wait to show you guys.

Sorry if this was a lame post but I want to document our renovation progress along the way. Hope you don't mind. Did you do any projects this weekend?

  2. I can't wait to see the finished room! Have you decided how you're going to use the barn door on sliders?

  3. Y'all are getting so close! Drywall is the worst part to me, it seems like it takes forever and is so messy. But after drywall comes the fun part paint!

  4. That's great! How exciting!! I love the idea of lighting above the tub. It will be beautiful! :)

  5. We just "mudded" our kitchen and I'm in the sanding process right now. Mudding sucked...I much prefer the sanding. Looks like you did a great job!
