Bathroom Progress

Progress was made in the bathroom last week. The tub deck was built thanks to Mitch and a friend from church. They put that thing together in no time flat. Here's its current state.

We looked into having a piece of granite or other stone cut for the top of the tub deck but it was too pricey. So on to Plan B: tile the top. Hopefully it'll look something like this one.

And we're going to panel the front sorta like this.

We chose this tub faucet

And this is our shower faucet

Mitch built this recessed cabinet the other day for towels and the like. We'll have our cabinet guy make a door for it.

And as for the floor, I have my heart set on stone/marble. I'd love to have a floor like Tommy Symth's. I'm in love with the herringbone pattern. It's something that's unique and you don't see everyday. I think that's why I love it so much.

So that's where we're at. It's slow in the making since we're doing it debt-free but I know it'll be worth it in the end. Hang in there, guys! (I have to keep telling myself that too!) Hopefully soon I'll show ya a finished bathroom:)
