I know it's been a while since we've talked about my kitchen. I kept debating whether or not to show you guys any in-between pictures, but I've had people ask me how my kitchen was coming along. So let me just show you.
We are not done, but we're getting closer! Mitch just finished the butcherblock counter for the island and I love it. And since the last time I showed you guys, we got our backsplash tiled.
One of two glass-fronted cabinets that holds my Fire King collection.
I got caught up in the picture taking experience and had to set up this little tea station. That's raw honey there in the jar which I'm totally loving right now slathered on top of toast and butter. Yum to the o, people. Oh and my vintage tea towel--how cute is that, seriously?
Do you see our thermostat hanging down from the ceiling? Yeah, we're ghetto like that.
What still needs to be done:
- Crown molding on top of cabinets
- Flooring
- Trim around window
- Roman blind made for window
- Switch out corbels on island
- Trim pieces here and there
I think that's about all. The flooring of the kitchen will be the very last thing we do since we're knocking down a wall and will have the same flooring throughout. So there ya go--where we're at with the kitchen. I do love my new kitchen. It's the same basic layout but there's so much more storage space now since we extended the cabinets up to the ceiling and added a bigger pantry. You can bet once we have everything done, I'll post more pics and have a cost breakdown for ya too. Hope you enjoyed the tour!

Your kitchen looks great. Love the butcherblock addition hubby made, and the counters and sink are so pretty. We want to add subway tile too, but it is just not in the budget right now. Your backsplash looks great.

ReplyDeleteHi, I appreciate every bit of your efforts to let us know about Kitchen . In fact, we’re going to study and research it as part of a half-yearly initiative supported by our websites faucetsreviewed and group of partners.
ReplyDeleteSimple changes made to the knobs and the hinges will offer a new look to the kitchen. If you have wooden cabinets you yourself can do the sanding and paint it with a new coat of paint to make your kitchen look great.garbage can

The stove likewise could be a counter top stove with a built-in oven somewhere more convenient, or a freestanding traditional range with oven under a 4 or 6 burner cook top. Definitely go for a built-in stove if you want the convenience of two ovens.Appliance Repair in Brentwood
