Valentine's Day Dinner

I spent V-day evening at home with my boys. All three of them. I wanted to make it special and fun so Ry and I made the heart garland a few days before and hung it above our table.

Tablescape complete with fresh flowers from Mitch.

Menu: Grilled chicken seasoned with Jane's, mashed potatoes from heaven, corn, jellied cranberry hearts, and homemade applesauce.

Bryce loves the presentation. (yeah right)

My shirtless wonder. I can't keep clothes on this kid. (He's sitting next to me right now with no pants on.)

After dinner Ry showed Daddy the craft he made.

Dessert: these are supposed to be peanut butter cups but the pb was too soft so I just plopped some chocolate on top and drizzled with white chocolate. Still tasted good even though they look pathetic.

"Strawberry Stuff" as Ryder calls it.

And chocolate covered strawberries of course.

Hope your Valentine's Day was as special as mine. It was nice spending it together with those nearest and dearest to my heart. Although, I'm expecting a date night with just the hubby soon. Just lettin' ya know, babe. Love ya.

  1. I'll see if I can pencil you in ;)

  2. It does look like a fun night! I love garland and the pb "hearts" still look so good. I never got around to making any treats last weekend. What mashed potato recipe did you use, I have to make some Friday night and it would be awesome if they were from Heaven.
