The ReStore Has My Heart

On Saturday we went out. This almost never happens. We hardly ever go out as a family. It's either too annoying dragging the kids somewhere only for them to start fussing, or...well that's usually the reason we don't do it. Also, Mitch is not a shopper. At all. In fact he pretty much despises it. I wouldn't consider myself a huge shopper either. I can't remember the last time I was at the mall. The only shopping I love is bargain shopping. I can hit up a GW any day and I'm all set with my shopping fixation. Well anyway, I asked Mitch on Saturday if we could do something "fun." All of us needed to spend some time out of our house. My poor boys have been house-ridden for like the past two weeks. So we went shopping. We went to the ReStore. I love looking around places like that. You can get amazing deals and you never know what you're going to find. Just this week I was on another blog and saw this:

The blogger is in love with this classy-looking sink and I am too. Well this was what I saw at the ReStore--a vintage porcelain sink. Just look at that cute backsplash and those towel bars on either side. Sigh.

And the best part? This baby was only $20. What a deal.

They also had this old school pedestal sink there too. I love how substantial looking it is. The faucet handles are porcelain as well. They just don't make things like this any more. Well they do, but you'll pay an arm and a leg for 'em. This one: $50.

You can find just about anything at the ReStore. Anything from furniture to lighting to cabinets. Heck, we even saw an antique piano there on Saturday. They always have a surplus of old doors there too. And if you've been following my blog for any amount of time, you'll know I love old doors. We're actually looking for one for our hall closet. So you can bet we'll probably find it at a ReStore. So if you've never been to a ReStore before, check it out. You might be surprised what you'll find there.

And on a totally unrelated note:

Happy Valentine's Day!

  2. Holy bajeezus. I almost peed my pants. 20 dollars?!? This ReStore place you speak of is worth the plane ticket just to get killer deals. I bought my pedestal sink today for $96 and thought I was getting a super sweet deal.
