I received the most recent Pottery Barn catalog in the mail not too long ago and I thought I'd share some of the things that I'm loving right now. Keep in mind I have only ordered one thing from PB ever. And that was about a month ago. More on that later. But the reason I love getting their catalogs is for inspiration. You don't even know how many ideas I've "stolen" from PB.
What a beautiful place setting. It's almost too pretty to eat off of. I said almost. Love the monogrammed napkin.
I'm enjoying these cafe chairs. Plus with a little banquette on the opposite side--delightful. But the chairs are "on sale" at $199 each. Don't think I'll be splurging any time soon.
There's just something about this plaid...how cute would that be at the foot of my little Ry's bed? And of course we'd have to get one for B too. Aww...matching bedding. (Can't you imagine my lamp in here?) Buttons could stand guard there just like this little guy.
I love having a big ottoman to put my feet up on instead of a coffee table. Very comfy. I'll share my coffee table turned ottoman projects with you sometime soon.
Okay, see that pot on the coffee table there? I saw the same exact one at Good Will not too long ago with the PB sticker still on it. Did I buy it? Nope. I didn't like it. It looked too fake up close. I like actual old things--not necessarily new things that are supposed to look old. Well there are always exceptions...but this pot was not one of them.
Even though I willingly confess to not being an organized person, it does make my heart swell when I see a space that is completely organized. I mean really. This space is pretty much amazing. Okay this is my new office inspiration. I'll let you know how things progress...
Seriously anyone who has a separate space for gift wrapping should be shot.
I'm loving numbered things right now. Stick a number on something--anything--and it looks amazing. Case in point: how boring would these look without the numbers? Exactly. I'm pretty sure Mitchell could easily make these. Hmm...
I'll take one of these in a light blue please. Don't have any idea where I'd put it but I'd like one anyway. I'll find a spot.
Okay so you're wondering what my lone purchase was from Pottery Barn? Eek! I'm so excited to show you. They will be going up in our new bathroom instead of towel bars. Two will flank the vanity and the other two will be outside of the shower. They come numbered 1-4. Like I said before...the numbers get me every time.
So there ya have it. Inspiration is all around you. Scour your mags, internet, decorating books, even a catalog for the look you want. You don't have to spend a fortune turning your space into what you want it to be. Be creative! Shop at thrift stores, flea markets, yard sales, heck I've even dumpster dove for that special treasure that totally makes a room. And sometimes, just sometimes you can splurge on a little something from Pottery Barn.
