New Camera!

Last week I put my foot down. I told Mitch that I needed a camera. You see, I've had bad luck with cameras. The last one we had, decided he had had enough and died. Mitch tried to get some part that would fix it, but to no avail. The camera was done. So we went months without one. Bryce was born, no camera. Vacations, nada. Ry turned 3, nothin'. Well I must admit we did have cameras during some of those events but they weren't ours. I think my in-laws were ready to turn us in since we kept their camera for probably about six months. We also "forgot" to return my parents' camera when they left it over here on several occasions. (It's actually still here--that's what I've been taking my pics with...oops.) And it made me so sad not having my own camera to record my kids' lives. What kind of a mother was I? Sheesh. So after my foot-stomping routine last week, Mitchell scoured the internet for a mid-range camera that we could afford. See, there's some things that I don't have a problem doing. Trash, not an issue. Changing a light bulb, psh...easy. Mowing the grass...okay that's where it stops. And also when it comes to techy things--that's all Mitch's territory. My brain just can't wrap itself around pixels and high def and whatnot. I don't have time for nonsense like that. So when Mitch called and told me he found one for the best price around, I was thrilled. It has all the bells and whistles (at least for what we need) and I just imagined family portraits with slicked hair and bunny ears and Bryce's gap-toothed smiles. Ahh...life will be perfect at last! I got my new camera yesterday and am loving it so far. If you're in the market for a camera, check out this puppy:

So sleek and sexy. Oh yeah...that's exactly what I was looking for in a camera. I was surprised at how tiny it is. And yet the screen on it is huge! Love it. I guess you guys will be the judges on how it performs. Mitch found it here. And it had free shipping (score!) Here are some pictures I took.

Ryder not looking too thrilled. B's into it though.

Yes, I know our carpets are in need of some major deep cleaning. Try to look past them at the cute blue-eyed boy.

I know this one is a little blurry...but I couldn't resist. Look at that face.

Buttons (aka Bucky, Butts, Butt-head, pretty much anything with the word butt in it)

So there ya have it. The latest purchase at the Hertzler house. And I'm hoping that this one doesn't bite the dust any time soon. Now I'm off to a photo shoot.
